My 16-year-old son saw Dr. Downey about a mole that he was born with. Dr. Downey was extremely respectful towards my son and gave him all the information he needed to decide whether to have it removed now or watch it for signs of change and wait til he was older. My son opted for removal now. Because he was going to be awake, we were allowed to keep him company and the experience was as relaxed as could be imagined. He made my son very comfortable both physically and emotionally. He was off his pain meds by the next morning and continues to improve. This is our family’s 4th surgery performed by Dr. Downey and all have been successes. We would recommend him highly to anyone requring the services of a plastic surgeon.

His enthusiasm for patient care and for his specialty is infectious. At the same time he didn’t apply any pressure to me to decide about having my breasts operated upon. When I did decide to have my breast enlargement by Dr. Downey, it was after I had interviewed four other local First Hill doctors. None came close to him for warmth, sincerity, and welcoming efficient office staff. I love my breast augmentation by Dr. Downey. It is like I always wanted to be. They are just right. I am glad he treated me and I will go to him again if I need any plastic surgery in the future.

Kind, sensible doctor. Has seen friends, family members, even some of my doctors go to him. Great surgeon with deft hand, conservative and tender. His staff are wonderful as well; they anticipate my needs and do things for me without waiting to be asked. I’m very pleased with his service and professionalism. Ask him about his Aussie dog.

Need a plastics person?? Though only needed (in my case) for a very small in-office procedue, I was well taken care of by Dr. Downey and staff. Extremely thorough pre-op visit as well as personal care day-of. My near-faint was caught by the surgical nurse who quickly sat me back down and stayed close by until all was well. Follow-up phone call even though not necessary. Very happy all together and would see him for any case small or big.
